On this page I am going to be putting all the photos and details of the restoration and conversion of a caravan chassis into a hardcore hovercraft trailer with hover on/hover off capabilities (hohoc).  

After spending some months looking around on a well known auction site I found an ideal vicitm. It was located about 60 mins drive north west of malvern so I placed a bid and won the trailer for a lot less than I was expecting :-)

 

The chassis is an Al-Ko galvanised rail type chassis with indespension suspension units capable of a total load of about 1500KG.

The tyres are good and it has some really cool presses steel wheels. They look a bit like alloy wheels. :-) Bling hovercraft trailer....

I will be tearing off the wooden platform and building something a little more suitable in the future. For now here is a 3d model of what the chassis looks like.
   
  The trailer is on the back burner but I will be working on it slowly.
