Since my last update I have been really busy doing small jobs and trying to recover from my AS exams. (vitaly important but boring at the same time.)

This photo shows the splitter I built inside the plenum to help divert some of the air towards the front of the craft to create more lift at the front where it is needed.

I then added two layers of kevlar to the inside front of the hull. This added a huge amount of strength. I created a sample at the same time using the same method and I cant put a hole in it with anything :-)

Once the kevlar had gone hard I applied two layers of undercoat to the inside of the plenum in preperation for painting.

While I was waiting for the primer to set I added strengthening to the front deck pannels.

I painted inside the plenum with two coats of white paint and then turned the hull over....

That was easier said than done...its an awkaward and fragile thing to say the least...

Once it was upsiddown all the joints where filleted and glassed. The hull then recieved a layer of kevlar followed by a layer of fibreglass. This involved a 4 hour marathon of mixing up and spreading out the resin...If I had let it set before completion the finished result would have been week.

Once the hull had dried I then glued on 5 oak skids, glassed them in place and the painted the entire hull with 2 coats of paint followed by a sealer.

Once everything had gone hard I flipped the craft back over and begun bolting things onto the hull..

Its really starting to look like a hover now

  More very soon!
